Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 2026

Introduction

At Vidreels, protecting your privacy is a core commitment. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have over your data. By using the Vidreels platform ("Platform"), you agree to the practices described in this policy.

This policy applies only to information collected through the Platform. It does not cover third-party websites that may be linked from the Platform — we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately. Use of the Platform is also subject to our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account, use the Platform, or contact us, you may provide:

  • Account information: Your email address, or authentication credentials from a third-party provider such as Google.
  • User-generated content: Text prompts, uploaded media (images, audio, video files), and the AI-generated output you create ("Creations").
  • Communications: Any messages, feedback, or support requests you send to us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited, time and date of requests, and error reports.
  • Device information: Operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage data: Features used, actions taken, and session duration.

While this information may not identify you on its own, it could be combined with other data in ways that could.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in using a third-party provider such as Google, we receive limited profile information — typically your name and email address — as permitted by your settings on that platform. We use this solely to verify your identity and create or access your account.

1.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed entirely by third-party payment providers. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card or financial account details. Please review your payment provider's terms and privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

2. How We Collect Information

In addition to information you provide directly, we use the following technologies to collect data automatically:

Cookies: Small files stored on your browser that help us recognize you across sessions, maintain preferences, and analyze how the Platform is used. You can configure your browser to reject cookies, though some features may not work correctly without them.

Web beacons: Small transparent elements embedded in pages that help us understand user engagement, such as which pages are visited most often.

Third-party services we integrate — such as Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics — may use their own tracking technologies. Their data practices are governed by their respective privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features.
  • Process transactions and manage your account and subscription.
  • Send transactional communications (such as verification codes and account notices) and, with your consent, promotional updates.
  • Diagnose technical issues, monitor performance, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Understand how users interact with the Platform in order to improve the experience.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

If we need to use your information for a purpose not described here, we will inform you in advance and, where required by law, request your consent.

Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is entirely risk-free. In the event of a security incident, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities promptly, as required by applicable law.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Services We Integrate

We work with the following third-party providers who may collect data in connection with your use of the Platform:

  • Google: For account authentication and usage analytics.
  • Firebase (Crashlytics): For crash reporting and stability diagnostics. It automatically collects device and error data when the Platform encounters an issue.

4.2 Limitations of Our Control

We do not control how these third parties collect or use your data. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies. If you have concerns, we encourage you to review those policies directly or contact the providers.

5. Data Retention and Storage

5.1 Retention Periods

  • Creations not shared publicly are stored on our servers for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
  • Published content — such as shared videos and profile information — is retained until you delete it.
  • Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, we remove your data from active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention requirements.

5.2 Data Storage Location

Our Platform is primarily hosted in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be stored and processed there.

Where data transfer to other regions is required for operational purposes, we take appropriate steps to ensure your information is protected and that the transfer complies with applicable law.

5.3 EU Users: International Data Transfers

If you are located in the European Union, transfers of your personal data outside the EU are conducted in accordance with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or other legally approved safeguards, in compliance with GDPR.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Vendors and contractors who help us operate the Platform, bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use data only as necessary to perform their services.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal data may be among the assets transferred.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or government or regulatory authority.
  • Rights protection: When we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vidreels, our users, or others.
  • With your consent: For any other purpose, with your explicit permission.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Portability

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

7.2 Correction

You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.

7.3 Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent to data processing at any time by contacting us at feedback@vidreels.ai. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to your request. We will process your withdrawal promptly and cease processing your data, unless we are required by law to retain it.

7.4 Deletion

You can delete individual Creations using the "Delete" button on the Platform. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, use the "Delete Account" option in your account settings. Account deletion is irreversible — once deleted, your data cannot be recovered, and the associated email address cannot be used to log in again.

7.5 Sharing User-Created Content

If you choose to share your Creations publicly or on third-party platforms, we have no control over how others may use or redistribute that content. You share at your own discretion and risk.

8. EU / GDPR Rights

If you are a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • The right to access your personal data.
  • The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
  • The right to restrict or object to processing.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).
  • The right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at feedback@vidreels.ai. We may verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate parental consent, please contact us at feedback@vidreels.ai and we will delete the information promptly.

EU residents under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform, in accordance with GDPR requirements.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.

Continued use of the Platform after an updated policy has been posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you disagree with the updated policy, you should stop using the Platform.
